Just looking at these 3 famous love themed quotes you can gather one thing - Love is essential. Putting more thought into this, something as essential as this (think air, water etc.) HAS to be simple and easily obtained (in most normal scenarios). It just can't be complicated otherwise the world would stop going round, they'd be too much hate and anger and everyone would feel needy all the time! (assuming of course the quotes are somewhat true)
Love can come in many forms, shapes and sizes including who it is with - a friend, a partner, a family member, a pet and maybe even a job. All of them may translate the meaning of love a little differently but when we consider breaking it down to love's simplest form; the desire to love something and be loved back ('productive' and 'fulfilling' love) it all begins to make sense. Unfortunately when the love on one side begins to falter and the love diminishes or appreciates at a different rate than both parties can handle, we can be faced with an unhealthy situation ('unbalanced' or 'counter-productive' "love"). It will never be totally 100% equal but the gap has to be manageable for love to sustain and that gap is the threshold that people need to discover for themselves as unique individuals. Don't be fooled that the gap will remain similar throughout a relationship as that can also change. To fix that - is to work on the relationship.
